The draw has been made for the 2023 Cazoo World Championship, with defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan beginning his quest for an eighth Crucible crown against Chinese debutant Pang Junxu.

O’Sullivan and Pang will take centre stage inside the famous Crucible Theatre at 10am on Saturday morning, with the match reaching a conclusion later that day at 7pm.

Number two seed and four-time World Champion Mark Selby faces a tricky first round clash with 2019 Indian Open champion Matthew Selt.

Judd Trump, winner of the World Championship in 2019, will start his campaign with a mouth watering encounter against 2020 Crucible semi-finalist Anthony McGill.

Player of the season so far Mark Allen and the in form Shaun Murphy have intriguing first round clashes against Chinese debutants. Allen has been pitted against Fan Zhengyi, while Murphy plays Si Jiahui.

The top 16 seeds have been pitted against the 16 qualifiers who have battled through the qualifying stages at the English Institute of Sport over the last week.
