Having been a passion of mine for over 40 years, I have been involved in snooker most of my life. I started playing at the age of nine and went on to turn professional in 1990.
Although my professional playing career was cut short due to an unfortunate injury, I have continued to focus my efforts on helping others reach their full potential. Without the guidance of a snooker coach, to nurture the natural ability I had, I’m convinced I would not have reached the level I did.
Snooker coaching has come a long way over the years, with more and more ways a player can be analysed to ensure their maximum potential can be reached.
As a WPBSA Snooker Coach, I follow the WPBSA ‘White to Black’ coaching programme to deliver my lessons. By following this nationally recognised blueprint, I am able to provide structured systematic lessons to coach players to various levels in line with their ability.
I am a member of UK Coaching and fully DBS checked to coach both adults and children.
I have also been nationally recognised for my knowledge of the five pillars of Duty to Care and am certified in Safeguarding & Protecting Children, as well as Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity +.
