Snooker legend Steve Davis added yet another title to his CV yesterday evening as he defeated Jonathan Bagley 4-0 to win the 2018 Seniors Irish Masters event at the iconic Goffs venue in Ireland.

Competing in what is set to be his final competitive tournament, the six-time world champion impressed throughout the competition at a venue at which he enjoyed an unprecedented level of success during his 1980s heyday.

Now 60, but having lost none of his tablecraft, he defeated the likes of old foe Dennis Taylor and BBC colleague John Parrott on his way to the final, before ending the run of surprise finalist Bagley to claim the title. The trophy was presented by Lauren Higgins, daughter of the late Alex Higgins.
