Bio

Bulcsú Révész won the 2024 World Snooker Federation (WSF) Junior Championship to make history as Hungary’s first ever professional snooker player.

The teenager is one of the top prospects in the junior game and, after defeating Gong Chenzhi 5-3 in Albania to win the WSF Junior title, he added the EBSA European Under-18 crown to his collection by defeating Vladislav Gradinari in the final a few months later.

The Hungarian has competed in a number of professional events prior to earning his tour card.

In November 2023, he compiled a stunning 140 break at the UK Championship in a 6-3 defeat to Hammad Miah and, a few months later, he earned his first victory at the World Championship by defeating Sean O’Sullivan 10-8 after trailing 6-1 and 8-5 in the first round of qualifying.

Révész was also notably on the receiving end of Shaun Murphy’s historic 147 break at the 2023 Shoot Out.
