Bio

Chen Zifan regained his place on the World Snooker Tour in May 2019 by successfully coming through Q School Event 2 in Wigan.

The Chinese player had previously come through Q School in 2017 to turn professional for the first time and can count a last 16 run at the Riga Masters as his best result to date on the main tour.

As an amateur Chen previously competed at the wildcard round of several ranking events, defeating Sanderson Lam at the 2014 World Open and Tian Pengfei at the 2016 International Championship.

Chen made a career-high break of 141 at the 2020 UK Championship, a tournament that also saw him defeat previous year’s semi-finalist Yan Bingtao to reach the third round of a Triple Crown series event for the first time.
