Bio

Elliot Slessor is a three-time ranking event semi-finalist, who has achieved a career-high world ranking of number 36 in March 2024.

From Gateshead, the Englishman enjoyed a breakthrough performance at the 2017 Northern Ireland Open, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-1 en route to the semi-finals, where he lost to Mark Williams.

He matched his semi-final run at the 2021 British Open, narrowly losing 4-3 to friend Gary Wilson in Leicester, and against at the 2024 Welsh Open where he again lost in a decider to Martin O’Donnell.

In 2020 he made his Crucible debut at the World Championship, recovering from 8-1 and 9-2 down to Yan Bingtao, before ultimately losing 10-7. Three years on, he again secured qualification for the Crucible, but was unable to defeat Gary Wilson at the last 32 stage.

Slessor first turned professional in 2013 through Q School, regaining his place in 2016 through the EBSA Play-Offs with victory against Jamie Clarke.
