Elliot Slessor achieved his best result at a ranking event to date at the 2017 Northern Ireland Open, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 4-1 en route to the semi-finals, losing to Mark Williams.
From Gateshead, the Englishman first turned professional in 2013 through Q School, regaining his place in 2016 through the EBSA Play-Offs with victory against Jamie Clarke.
His second spell on tour would be much-improved with his Belfast run backed up by a quarter-final appearance at the Indian Open and a second win against O’Sullivan at the 2018 China Open.
He reached his third ranking quarter-final at the 2020 German Masters in Berlin, losing 5-0 to in-form Neil Robertson.
