Portsmouth’s Jamie Wilson turned professional for the first time in August 2020 by successfully coming through Q School Event 3 at the age of just 16 with victories against Luke Simmonds, Dave Finbow, Fang Xiongman and Haydon Pinhey.
He first took up snooker at the age of six and since 2016 has been based at the Waterlooville Sports owned by his parents Suzy and Steve.
In January 2020 he competed in the WSF Junior Open in Malta, successfully qualifying from his group before losing to India’s Kreishh Gurbaxani at the last 32 stage.
