Lee Walker reached his first ranking event semi-final at the 2018 Gibraltar Open some 28 years after he first turned professional.
Prior to his last four run which was ended by China’s Cao Yupeng, Walker’s best result memorably came at the Crucible Theatre in 1998 where he defeated Dave Harold and Alan McManus to reach the quarter-finals of the World Championship on his debut.
Walker also reached the last 16 at snooker’s biggest event in 2004 by defeating Stephen Lee 10-7 before losing to David Gray.
He attained a career-high world ranking of 42 during the 2000/1 season and has a high break of 140 compiled at the 2004 European Open.
