Lukas Kleckers reached the last 16 stage of a ranking event for the first time at the 2021 British Open.
The German player regained a place on the World Snooker Tour at the start of the 2020/21 season by finishing in second place on the 2019/20 Challenge Tour rankings. He previously spent two years on the professional circuit from 2017-2019 having qualified through Q School.
He notably made the highest break of his professional career to date (137) at the 2017 Northern Ireland Open against five-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.
During his amateur career he became national champion for the first time in 2013 and won the German 6-Red Championship in 2016.
