Bio

China’s Lyu Haotian burst onto the scene as a youngster by defeating Michael White and Dominic Dale to reach the quarter-finals of the International Championship as a wildcard aged just 14 in 2012.

Since first turning professional a year later in 2013, Lyu has gone on to reach his maiden ranking event final at the 2019 Indian Open, losing out to Matt Selt, as well as a further three semi-finals.

Lyu also reached the last 16 of the World Championship in Sheffield on his televised debut in 2018, ousting Marco Fu before losing 13-10 to Barry Hawkins.

At amateur level Lyu is a former World Under-21 Championship and Asian Championship winner.
