Bio

Mark Joyce reached his first ranking event final after 13 years as a professional at the 2019 Riga Masters, losing 5-2 to Yan Bingtao.

The Englishman previously reached the quarter-finals of six ranking events, notably the UK Championship both in 2010 and 2017.

In November 2014 he rose to his career-high ranking to date of 29th position and in April 2021 qualified for the Crucible stages of the World Championship for the first time at the 18th attempt, losing to defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.

He is a former finalist at the Masters qualifying event in 2008 losing to Judd Trump and at amateur level captured both the English Amateur Championship (2006) and European Under-19 Championship (2001) prior to turning professional.
