Bio

Poland’s Michal Szubarczyk made history in 2025 by becoming the youngest ever professional snooker player after reaching the final of the EBSA European Championship at the age of just 14-years-old.

An incredible fortnight in Antalya, Türkiye saw Szubarczyk win the EBSA European Under-16 and Under-18 Championship titles before losing out to former professional Liam Highfield in the final of the main event.

As Highfield had already secured professional status at the WPBSA Q Tour Play-Offs earlier in the week, reaching the title match proved to be enough for the teenager to make professional snooker history.

Szubarczyk became the youngest ever winner of a match in the World Championship when he defeated OnYee Ng 10-7, and later Sanderson Lam 10-8, in the 2026 qualifying rounds.
