Oliver Lines turned professional in 2014 and has since reached the last 16 of a ranking event on three occasions.
A former winner of the EBSA European Under-21 Championship, the Yorkshireman reached his first professional final at the 2014 Haining Open. He enjoyed a successful debut season on the main tour which included a 6-4 victory against world champion Mark Selby and saw him receive the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award from World Snooker.
He reached the last 16 of a full-ranking event for the first time at the 2016 Indian Open, going on to repeat the feat at the 2016 UK Championship – including victory over fourth seed Judd Trump – and again in India in 2019.
Lines is the son of long-time professional Peter Lines and continues to compete on tour alongside his father.
