Scotland’s Ross Muir has reached the last 16 stage of a world ranking event on four occasions.

A professional from 2013-2019 and again from the start of the 2023 season, Muir reached a career-high world ranking of 67 in May 2017.

He reached the last 16 stage of a ranking event for the first time at the 2017 Shoot Out, ultimately losing out to Anthony Hamilton.

Muir has compiled one maximum break in professional competition at the 2016 German Masters qualifiers.

Amateur Career

Muir has enjoyed a distinguished amateur career, having claimed titles and national (2013) and European (2023) levels, as well as having won the Junior Pot Black event at the Crucible Theatre aged just 13.

He also enjoyed a strong season on the WPBSA Q Tour in 2022/23, winning one title and leading the series throughout until losing out to Martin O’Donnell in the final match of Event 6.
