Bio

Scott Donaldson claimed his maiden professional title at the 2020 Championship League by defeating compatriot Graeme Dott 3-0 in the final.

One of Scotland’s most talented young players, Donaldson turned professional in 2012 following his 7-3 victory against Brendan O’Donoghue in that year’s EBSA European Championship.

It would not be until 2017 that his breakthrough performance would come at the Welsh Open where he reached his first ranking event semi-final. He has since reached the last four of a further three ranking tournaments, notably the 2019 China Open where he earned a career-best £45,000 before losing to Jack Lisowski.

In 2019 he qualified for the televised stages of the World Championship for the first time, losing to Kyren Wilson on his Crucible debut.
