Zak Surety regained his place on the World Snooker Tour in August 2020 following his successful qualification from Q School with a 4-1 victory against Leo Fernandez.
From Basildon, the Englishman first enjoyed a two-year spell as a professional from 2014-16, thrice reaching the last 32 of events at the 2015 China Open, 2016 European Masters and 2020 Scottish Open.
