Redcar’s Mike Dunn is a long-time professional snooker player of almost 30 years who was elected to the board as a WPBSA Player Director in December 2019.

Mike’s best performance at a world ranking event came at the 2014 China Open where he defeated Peter Lines, Tian Pengfei, Craig Steadman and most notably world number one Mark Selby to reach the semi-finals of a ranking event for the first time. Although he would lose out to home favourite Ding Junhui, his run was enough to see him retain his place on the main tour and earn him a career-best £21,000 prize.

Other highlights include quarter-final runs at the 2016 Players Championship and the 2017 Northern Ireland Open, while he also qualified to play at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield by reaching the last 32 of the World Championship in 2002.

He also made the first maximum break of his professional career at the 2012 German Masters qualifiers and peaked at number 32 in the world rankings in 2010.
