Thepchaiya Un-Nooh has today made his first maximum 147 break in professional competition at the 2016 Paul Hunter Classic.
The break came during the second frame of his last 32 match against Kurt Maflin and is set to earn the Thai number one a £40,000 bonus (the current rolling total), provided that it is not equallled during this weekend.
Un-Nooh of course missed out on a maximum break last season on two occasions by missing the final black, both at the UK Championship and World Championship qualifiers, but made no mistake today. His break surpasses his previous career-best of 144 made also at last season’s World Championship qualifiers.
The break was officiated by referee Erik Amberg.
