Selt Makes First 147
Matthew Selt made the first 147 of his 24-year career at the BetVictor Championship League in Leicester on Thursday evening.
Selt’s perfect break came in the fourth frame of his league phase match with Xiao Guodong, making the score 2-2. Xiao went on to win the tie 3-2.
It’s the 18th maximum of the 2025/26 season, further extending the record which had previously stood at 15. And it’s the 235th 147 in snooker history.
World number 37 Selt topped the table after day one of Group 4, having won two of his four matches.
