Kyren Wilson has been voted as the WPBSA Players’ Player of the Month for January 2026 after winning the Masters for the first time in his career.

The 34-year-old defeated John Higgins 10-6 at the Alexandra Palace in London to win the second Triple Crown title of his career following on from his memorable World Championship victory in 2024.

Wilson, who had previously lost in the title match of the prestigious event in both 2018 and 2025, had earlier defeated Si Jiahui 6-2 in the opening round before battling through consecutive deciders against Neil Robertson and Wu Yize to reach the final.

Masters glory earned the world number two a massive 70% vote in January, the second highest ever total behind only Jack Lisowski following his maiden ranking event title success back in October. Also in the running were Higgins (20%) and Wu (10%) who lost in the final and semi-final of the event respectively.
