Pullen Makes 143 and Sets Up Moody Final

English duo Liam Pullen and Stan Moody will go head to head in the final of the 2023 WSF Junior Championship in Australia on Friday, with the winner to receive a two-year World Snooker Tour card.

Pullen made a 143 during his 4-2 quarter-final win over Nattanapong Chaikul, the highest break ever in a World Snooker Federation event. The 17-year-old from Wigginton near York went on to beat Filips Kalnins 4-1 in the semi-finals.

Moody, who is also from North Yorkshire, saw off Jake Crofts 4-0 in the quarter-finals before edging out Iulian Boiko 4-3 in the semis. Former tour pro Boiko had earlier beaten highly-rated Welshman Liam Davies 4-3 in the last eight thanks to a break of 88 in the deciding frame.

Last year, Moody hit the headlines when he won a match in the BetVictor Shoot Out at the age of 15, and he now hopes to secure a tour card for the first time.
