Shaun Murphy made the seventh maximum break of his career during his last-16 tie against Daniel Wells at the BetVictor Welsh Open.
The Magician conjured a perfect break in the third frame as he became the sixth player to make seven or more 147s. He will earn the £5,000 high break prize unless the maximum is matched over the last few days in Llandudno.
The break put him 3-0 ahead of Wells and followed a 145 from Murphy in the second frame. It’s the 185th 147 in snooker history and ninth of the season.
