Bio

China’s Gong Chenzhi achieved professional status for the first time in 2024 following success on the CBSA China Tour.

As a wildcard, Gong defeated Daniel Womersley and Jordan Brown at the 2023 Wuhan Open to achieve a career-best run to the last 32 of a professional ranking event.

A few months later, he reached the final of the World Snooker Federation (WSF) Junior Championship in Albania where he lost out to Hungarian Bulcsú Révész. This result earned Gong a place in the 2024 World Championship qualifiers, where he lost 10-7 to veteran professional Rod Lawler.
