Brazilian Jonas Luz won the 2023 Pan American Championship in Rio de Janeiro to secure professional status for the first time in his career.
He dramatically defeated fellow countryman Fabinho 5-4 on the last red in a decider to win the biggest title of his career so far.
Luz earned the first victory of his professional career at the 2024 Saudi Arabia Masters, where he defeated Mostafa Dorgham in the opening round.
