The latest 1st4sport WPBSA Level 2 Coaching course saw 13 delegates receive training from expert WPBSA coaches at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
Led by the WPBSA’s Head of Coaching and Training Development Chris Lovell alongside Level 3 Advanced coaches Andrew Highfield and Nigel Bond, the Level 2 course provides participants with the necessary training of how to safely plan, deliver, review, and improve the performance of both novice and intermediate snooker players.
The course involves both theoretical and practical training and has been developed in partnership with 1st4sport Qualifications.
After taking part in the session, one participant said: “The WPBSA Level 2 Coaching course equips a budding snooker coach with all the knowledge and tools they need to begin their coaching journey. It is delivered by professional, knowledgeable people who go out of their way to ensure that every participant is fully prepared to achieve their goals. If anyone is considering becoming a snooker coach, this is the course they need to enroll on.”
Another added: “For someone who has always loved learning the complexity of how to play snooker, attending The WPBSA Level 2 Coaching course and learning about how to coach what I believe is one of the most technically difficult sports in the world, has been one of the most enjoyable and educational experiences of my life!”
Chris Lovell said: “We are delighted to see the continued growth and success of the WPBSA Coaching Programme and it was a pleasure to help our latest delegates on their journey to achieving their Level 2 qualification.
“I would like to thank Andrew Highfield and Nigel Bond for their assistance with running the course and the Northern Snooker Centre for hosting us.”
