Bio

Indisputably one of the fastest players on the World Snooker Tour, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh won his first ranking event title at the Shoot Out in 2019.

He defeated Michael Holt in the final at the Watford Colosseum to become only the second player from Thailand to win a ranking event. In the semi-finals he also compiled a break of 139, the highest-ever at the one frame Shoot Out.

An established force on tour since 2012, having previously spent a single season as a professional in 2009/10, Un-Nooh is a former winner of the 6-Red World Championship in his home country and world amateur champion in 2009.

He reached four ranking event semi-finals prior to breaking his duck at the Shoot Out and has since made it to the final of the 2019 World Open, losing to Judd Trump in Yushan.

Un-Nooh is one of a select group of players to have made a maximum break on more than one occasion, having famously twice missed the final black for a 147 during the 2015/16 season.

He made his debut at the televised stages of the World Championship in 2018 losing to John Higgins in the opening round. In both 2019 and 2020, Un-Nooh lost to the eventual champions in Sheffield, with both Judd Trump and Ronnie O’Sullivan going on to lift the title.
