Bio

Welshman Jackson Page is a former ranking event finalist who defeated Barry Hawkins on his Crucible Theatre debut in 2022.

Aged just 20 at the time, Page defeated Sean O’Sullivan, Ashley Carty, Joe Perry and David Grace to earn his place at snooker’s biggest stage for the first time. Once there, he stunned former finalist Hawkins with a 10-7 victory to progress to the second round, before losing 13-3 to friend and mentor Mark Williams.

At the 2024 World Open in Yushan, China, Page reached the semi-finals of a ranking event for the first time with a run that featured notable victories over John Higgins and Mark Selby before being defeated by Judd Trump in the last four.

Page secured a return to the televised stages of the World Championship in 2024 but was defeated 10-1 in the opening round by seven-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.

A few months later, Page broke new ground by reaching his maiden ranking event final at the 2024 Championship League, before losing out 3-1 in the final of the season opener to Ali Carter.

Amateur Career

Page turned professional in 2019 following his triumph at the EBSA European Under-21 Championship in Israel.

Already established as a force in the amateur game having twice previously having claimed the European Under-18 Championship and the Welsh national title in 2018, Page defeated Ross Bulman 5-1 to join the World Snooker Tour for the first time.

Page defeated Michael Georgiou 4-1 at Q School 2021 to earn a further two-years on the circuit, having been relegated at the end of the previous season following a narrow 6-5 defeat to Kacper Filipiak at the World Championship qualifiers.

In 2017 at the age of just 15 he was awarded a wildcard to the professional Welsh Open and announced himself with victories against Jason Weston and John Astley to reach the last 32 before losing to Judd Trump.

He has been mentored by three-time world champion Mark Williams who has himself touted Page as one of the stars of the future in the sport.
