The WPBSA welcomes any information relating to corruption in snooker or billiards, including information on match fixing, gambling in snooker or billiards by participating players, or any other information relating to attempts by potential corruptors to compromise the players or match officials in any manner.
Such information can be passed to the Integrity Unit either through a the contact details shown below.
WPBSA members have a responsibility to report any approaches made to them or to other members for information on matches or where a member is asked to influence the outcome or any aspect of a match. Any such approach must be reported as soon as possible, but in any event not later than 24 hours after the approach to the Company Secretary of the WPBSA or to a Tournament Official.
Any WPBSA Member who is aware of or becomes aware of any approach as above must report the information as above or on the anti-corruption hotline.
Any Member who does not report as above will be in breach of the WPBSA Members Rules. Any such breach will be considered as extremely serious.
The WPBSA Members Rules on reporting breaches are:
4.1 In the event that a Member is approached or solicited in any way (whether directly or indirectly) to influence the outcome or conduct of any game of snooker or billiards whether or not in return for payment or any other form of remuneration or benefit (an “Approach”), that Member (the “Reporting Member”) shall report such an Approach to the WPBSA (via the Company Secretary or a Tournament Official) as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event not later than 24 hours after any such Approach being made. Further, the Reporting Member shall provide the WPBSA (via the Company Secretary or a Tournament Official) with all information in his or her knowledge relating to the Approach and shall co-operate in any subsequent investigation and/or other action(s) arising out of such a report.
4.2 Any Member becoming aware of an Approach (as defined in clause 4.1 above) being made to another individual shall report such Approach to the WPBSA (via either the Company Secretary, a Tournament Official or the Anti Corruption Hotline) as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 24 hours of becoming aware of such Approach.
Other than reports by Members of a direct approach, the identity of any person sharing information will be kept strictly confidential and not be disclosed without the agreement of the individual concerned.
