In January 2019 an independent All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for snooker was established to support the sport in the United Kingdom.
The Group brings together Members of the House of Commons and House of Lords from all major parties. It meets regularly in Parliament to hear from speakers working in snooker at all levels and discusses issues in the sport, as well as promoting snooker more widely both within Parliament and outside.
The Group is currently Co-Chaired by Greg Smith MP (Con) Buckingham and Nick Smith MP (Lab) Blaenau Gwent. A full list of its members can be found here. The Group has also created a twitter account @APPGSnooker
Secretariat support is provided to the APPG by MR Sport.
