Thepchaiya Un-Nooh became the latest confirmed player for this season’s ManBetX Champion of Champions following victory for Judd Trump at the International Championship last weekend.
With Trump already qualified following his victories at the World Championship, Masters and Northern Ireland Open last season, reigning Shoot Out champion Un-Nooh is now assured of his place as he cannot be displaced from the 16 qualifiers, regardless of results at the five remaining counting events.
Qualification for the event will be determined by the winners of professional tournaments dating back to Ronnie O’Sullivan’s victory in 2018, events having been ordered in a specific line of priority.

As per our previous update, with five events still to go there remain a number of big hitters yet to qualify, including world number three Mark Williams, and fellow leading players Mark Selby, Barry Hawkins, Ding Junhui and winner Shaun Murphy, meaning that there is much still to play for over the next three months.
Judd’s success also means that 12-time world women’s champion Reanne Evans is a step closer to qualification for the event for the first time, with two more ‘repeat’ winners needed to confirm her place at the Ricoh.
The next counting event to qualify for this year’s Champion of Champions will be the SangSom 6-Red World Championship, which will run from 2-7 September 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.
