Becoming a professional snooker coach had always been a long time ambition of mine. Ever since I saw the impact that the top coaches can have not just on a players individual game but also on their motivation and temperament it immediately inspired me to learn to become a coach to help players not only to improve their game but also to enjoy playing it.
From the experience that I have gained from a playing career that included junior and senior Irish international appearances to travelling for many years on the professional circuit with my lifelong friend 1997 world snooker champion Ken Doherty to developing my coaching skills and earning my WPBSA coaching badges I’ve finally realised my ambition of becoming a fully qualified professional snooker coach and have opened my own snooker academy.
My coaching sessions which include an in-depth follow up review and practice plan with drills tailored to suit your standard cover all aspects of the game from stance – cue delivery rest and safety play -break building – match preparation and mentoring for players of all ages and standards who play or indeed would like to learn to play the wonderful game of snooker.
