England win ‘Champion of Champions’

Earlier this month the Q Club in Glasgow played host to the 2016 ‘Champion of Champions’ county match between teams from England and Scotland.

Battling for the Raeburn trophy, the teams played four sessions of snooker, with English county champions Merseyside, led by Andy Molyneux running out 4-0 winners against Billy Henderson’s West of Scotland team.

Tournament direct Thomas Moran has expressed thanks to Tony Morgan, Stuart Johnson and the referees association in Scotland, as well as event sponsors John Parrott Cue Sports, for helping to make the event possible.

It is hoped that the tournament can become an established annual event, with all of the home nations taking part in the future.
