The English Partnership for Snooker and Billiards (EPSB) is kicking off a new initiative next week designed to get more young people playing snooker at Junior Summer Clubs.
Snooker establishments around the country will host sessions over the coming months aimed at those aged between 10 and 16.
Young leaders will also be selected from each group to help engage others and participate in monthly online skills modules.
The sessions will be delivered by qualified WPBSA World Snooker coaches who will welcome players of all abilities, whether they wish to advance their skills or learn the very basics of the sport. There will be an emphasis on fun and engaging group activities.
WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson said: “This is a fantastic initiative which I am certain will not only help us to find potential stars of the future, but provide young people who have not yet discovered this great sport with an opportunity to adopt snooker as a hobby.”
All eight participating venues are part of the EPSB’s 147 Club affiliation scheme.
