Keishin Kamihashi defeated Junto Miyazawa 3-0 in the final at the Billiard Rosa in Ikebukuro, Tokyo to win the 2023 All-Japan Snooker Championship.

Organised by the Japan Snooker Association, it was the 22nd annual edition of the national event. YCAC, Q House Academy and Fluke – venues all based in Kanagawa, just to the south and west of the capital city – helped host the early rounds.

Defending champion Kamihashi didn’t drop a single frame as he retained the title. The 22-year-old came through his opening tie before defeating Koichiro Yasuda and Takao Kurimoto in the quarter and semi-finals respectively.

In the final, Kamihashi compiled a 65 break in the opening frame and finished in style with a 92 in the third. It is his fourth All-Japan title following triumphs in 2017, 2018 and 2022.

Kamihashi already has a 147 maximum break to his name and in 2021 he reached the quarter-finals of a Q Tour event in Brighton, England. He is multi-talented, also being Japan’s current 14-1 pool champion.
