The second event of the 2016/17 WLBS World Women’s Ranking Series will be held at the Northern Snooker Centre this weekend, as the LITEtask UK Ladies Championship returns to Leeds.
Following the season-opening Paul Hunter Ladies Classic, held in Germany back in August, the event has seen entries from nine of the top 10 ranked players, including seven-time champion Reanne Evans and two-time winner Ng On Yee, who defeated Evans 5-1 in the 2015 final.
The event will begin with a group stage comprising of eight groups (view the draw), with the top two in each group to progress to Sunday’s last 16. There will also be a Challenge Cup event for players not qualifying for the knockout rounds, as well as under-21 and seniors competitions during the weekend.
In addition to title sponsor LITEtask, the event is also supported by the Paul Hunter Foundation. This Sunday marks the tenth anniversary of the passing of the Leeds-born three-time Masters champion and there are plans to remember Paul during the course of the day.
