Both online and face to face training are included within the course.

To complete the qualification and achieve WPBSA Advanced Snooker Coach Status, coaches will be assessed on their technical knowledge and coaching ability to integrate all aspects of the training programme and ultimately increase the performance of their player during their training programme. This will demonstrated in the form of a two-hour presentation to the examinations panel regulated by 1st4sport Qualifications.

Shaun Murphy, former world champion said: “It is a privilege to be involved training the new Level 3 Advanced Coaches with the WPBSA, something that I never imagined I’d be asked to do when I first took up snooker 32 years ago as an eight-year-old boy.

“When I started playing in 1990, a coach could be anyone in the snooker club who knew slightly more than you. Now we have a world leading accredited course that covers a wide range of topics including advanced play, technique, cueball deflection, sports physiology, nutrition and biomechanics, to ensure that the coaches of tomorrow, understand snooker of today.”
