Judd Trump compiled the seventh official 147 of his career during the first session of his Cazoo Champion of Champions final against Ronnie O’Sullivan in Bolton.
Despite toiling for much of the afternoon, the Ace in the Pack produced a moment of magic in the eighth frame. Trailing 6-1, he deposited 15 reds with blacks and cleared the colours to string together the maximum break.
It is the 181st official 147 in snooker history and the fifth this season. The break is only the second ever maximum to be made at the Champion of Champions, following Mark Selby’s effort in 2018.
The Bristolian would go on to take the final frame of the afternoon to reduce his deficit to 6-3 in this best of 19 encounter.
