Iran’s Amir Sarkhosh earned a two-year World Snooker Tour card for the first time in his career after being the dominant force on the inaugural WPBSA Q Tour Middle East series.
Sarkhosh won two of the three events held in the United Arab Emirates during the maiden series to finish top of the WPBSA Q Tour Middle East ranking list and earn a spot at the Global Play-Offs in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
There he impressively defeated Harvey Chandler and reigning English Amateur champion Steven Hallworth to set up a final round meeting with former professional Iulian Boiko, who Sarkhosh defeated 10-8 to earn his tour card.
The success earned the Iranian a place in the 2024 World Championship qualifiers where he was defeated 10-6 by China’s Jiang Jun.
