Bio

England’s Haydon Pinhey got through the final round of Q School at the fifth attempt to earn professional status for the first time.

Pinhey had lost in the final round of the event in the previous four consecutive years but defeated veteran former professional Gerard Greene to join the World Snooker Tour for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.

He has previously appeared in a number of professional tournaments, making his televised debut at the 2021 Shoot Out where he reached the last 32 stage.

Pinhey equalled this career-best run to the last 32 at the 2023 WST Classic, where he defeated Luca Brecel just a few weeks before the Belgian became world champion.
