Bio

Poland’s Michal Szubarczyk made history in 2025 by becoming the youngest ever professional snooker player after reaching the final of the EBSA European Championship at the age of just 14-years-old.

An incredible fortnight in Antalya, Türkiye saw Szubarczyk win the EBSA European Under-16 and Under-18 Championship titles before losing out to former professional Liam Highfield in the final of the main event.

As Highfield had already secured professional status at the WPBSA Q Tour Play-Offs earlier in the week, reaching the title match proved to be enough for the teenager to make professional snooker history.

A former Polish Under-18 and Under-21 champion, Szubarczyk competed in the World Snooker Championship qualifying rounds for the first time in 2025 where he was beaten 10-8 by Dean Young.
