Bio

Oliver Lines is a former ranking event semi-finalist who achieved a career-high ranking of 53 in December 2016.

At the 2022 Turkish Masters, Lines overcame Mark Lloyd, Xiao Guodong, Andrew Higginson and Yan Bingtao to reach a maiden ranking event quarter-final before losing out in a decider to former world champion Shaun Murphy.

A few months later, at the 2023 WST Classic, Lines repeated the feat with a run to the last eight that included an impressive 4-3 victory over Neil Robertson at the last 64 stage.

Lines broke new ground at the 2024 British Open by reaching the last four of a ranking event for the first time before losing out to John Higgins in the semi-finals.

Early Career

A former winner of the EBSA European Under-21 Championship, the Yorkshireman reached his first professional final at the 2014 Haining Open.

He enjoyed a successful debut season on the main tour which included a 6-4 victory against world champion Mark Selby and saw him receive the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award from World Snooker.

Lines is the son of long-time professional Peter Lines and has competed on the tour alongside his father.
