The WPBSA and World Snooker Tour (WST) have today published the updated qualifying criteria for the 2025 UK Championship through which 16 elite amateur players will earn their places through recognised WPBSA pathways.
Following the conclusion of events on both the Q Tour Europe and Q Tour Middle East Series’ last weekend, all but two of the 16 qualifiers have now been confirmed.
Former ranking event semi-finalist Peter Lines will take his place as the winner of this season’s second Q Tour Europe event in Vienna last weekend, as well as Egypt’s Mostafa Dorgham and Ali Gharahgozlou of Iran, following their respective Middle East victories.
The previously announced field will also be joined by England’s Kaylan Patel, following his performances at the WSF Junior Championship in Morocco earlier this year.
The full qualifying criteria is set out below:

Australia’s Steve Mifsud has confirmed that he has not accepted his place as a WPBSA Q Tour Asia-Pacific 2025/26 event winner.
Any further players who do not accept their place will be replaced by reserve players from the WPBSA Q Tour Europe Ranking List after Event 4.
