Hong Kong’s Ng On Yee claimed her second Eden World Women’s Snooker Championship title in the early hours of Monday morning following a dramatic 6-5 victory against India’s Vidya Pillai.
Following the match, both players spoke to WPBSA chairman Jason Ferguson about the final, which you can now watch below or at our WPBSA YouTube channel.
It was a memorable day for On Yee who not only came back from 4-2 down to snatch the title on the pink in what was the first women’s final to require a deciding frame since Alison Fisher’s victory back in 1989, but had already prevailed 5-4 against 11-time champion and world number one Reanne Evans earlier in the afternoon.
On Yee will remain second in the updated rankings which will be available together with more information about women’s snooker and how you can get involved at www.wlbsl.com later this week.
