World Women’s Snooker (WWS) has announced that this year’s Women’s Snooker Day activity will take place on Wednesday 28 April.

As in 2020, the day will be held online during the second week of the ongoing Betfred World Championship in Sheffield, with the aim of raising awareness of the World Women’s Snooker Tour and opportunities for women to pick up a cue and play our sport competitively at all levels.

Women’s snooker recently received a significant boost with the announcement that the WWS Tour is to become an official qualifying tour to the professional circuit, with multiple world champions Reanne Evans and Ng On Yee set to turn professional from the start of next season.

This year’s Women’s Snooker Day will be coordinated by both World Snooker Tour and WWS, with content to be posted by both organisations throughout the day to promote the women’s game. There are also planned features to be shown within the BBC television coverage of the day’s action.

As in previous years, players and supporters of women’s snooker are encouraged to support the day and to help promote the sport to women and girls everywhere, whether competitively or at local level.

Remember to use the official hashtags #WomensSnooker and #Cue4All and help to spread the word!
