The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) has today (16 December 2025) held its Annual General Meeting during the BetVictor Scottish Open in Edinburgh.

The AGM saw the presentation of Independently Audited Accounts and Directors Reports for the WPBSA and players association, WPBSA Players, to the members, both of which were unanimously approved by members.

It was further announced that following a review by the selection and nominations committee, Nigel Mawer QPM will continue to serve as WPBSA Vice Chairman and Head of Integrity for a further four years.

Four players stood for election to the Board of WPBSA Players: Tian Pengfei, Ken Doherty, Lee Walker and Martin O’Donnell.

With three seats to be determined, the result was that Tian Pengfei, Ken Doherty and Lee Walker were successfully elected by the membership.

In addition, two proposed minor amendments to the WPBSA Articles of Association were successfully voted through.

WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson said: “Following another very busy year in snooker and billiards, it is very encouraging to be able to present to our playing members and engage in open dialogue on a host of subjects. What has come through loud and clear this week is that our players care deeply about the future of our sport. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the WPBSA membership for the constructive debate and their continued support of our work within the WPBSA Group.

“I am also delighted to see Nigel Mawer QPM continue as Vice Charman and Head of Integrity at the WPBSA. Nigel has made a significant contribution over the past 14 years and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team.”
