Seven coaches have been awarded their WPBSA 1st4sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Advanced Snooker Skills at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield during the Cazoo World Snooker Championship.
The coaches, who are the first to pass the new qualification as part of the WPBSA Coaching Programme, were awarded their certificates by WPBSA Chairman Jason Ferguson and Head of Coaching and Training Development Chris Lovell after completing the course earlier in the year.

Introduced in 2020, the Level 3 course is aimed at current or former recognised WPBSA members who have played on the professional World Snooker Tour or coaches who have achieved the 1st4sport Level 2 in Snooker Coaching and are actively delivering coaching in the field to advanced snooker players.
Lovell, Head of Coaching and Training Development, said: “We are delighted to award our new Level 3 coaches their certificates at snooker’s most iconic venue.
“These coaches are officially recognised by the WPBSA as the elite coaches in the world and we are very proud of their hard work and dedication to reach this point in their careers.”
