The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) and the Pan American Billiards and Snooker Association (PABSA) are excited to announce the expansion of the WPBSA Q Tour Americas series for the 2024/25 season.

The expanded series will see four events taking place across North and South America.

The top ranked player from each continent at the conclusion of the final event will qualify for the WPBSA Q Tour Global Play-Offs, where three World Snooker Tour (WST) two-year tour cards will be on offer.

In March, Brazilian former professional Igor Figueiredo secured the title in event one of the 2024/25 WPBSA Q Tour Americas season to take an early lead in the ranking list.

A further event will take place in Brazil later in the season, as well as events in the USA and Canada. Full details can be found below:

  • 13-15 December 2024: Event 2 (Arizona Snooker Academy, Chandler, Arizona, USA)
  • 17-19 January 2025: Event 3 (The Corner Bank, Toronto, Canada)
  • TBC: Event 4 (Brazil)

Jason Ferguson, WPBSA Chairman, said: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of the WPBSA Q Tour Americas series to incorporate events in both North and South America.

“The growth of the WPBSA Q Tour Global across the world is something that we are incredibly passionate about as we look to provide equal opportunities globally for aspiring snooker champions.

“I would like to thank PABSA for their support with the series and wish every competitor the best of luck as they pursue their dream of joining the World Snooker Tour.”

Ajeya Prabhakar, PABSA President, said: “We are excited to once again join forces with the WPBSA to expand the Q Tour Americas series to four events this year, up from the two we ran last season.

“The sport is thriving in our region, with many larger clubs opening up.

“With two events in North America and two in Brazil, we’re looking forward to reaching even more players across our vast continent and showcasing their talent.”
