The third event of the 2024/25 WPBSA Q Tour Asia-Pacific series begins on Thursday 26 September at the Papatoetoe Cosmopolitan Club in Auckland, New Zealand.
The event, which is known as the New Zealand Open, is the latest of five events which make up the newly-expanded Asia-Pacific series. A total of 31 players from seven nations will be competing for the title in Auckland.
Defending New Zealand Open champion Rob Redgrove is among those competing this week as players look to close the gap at the top of the rankings on former professional Vinnie Calabrese, who has won the first two WPBSA Q Tour Asia-Pacific events of the season but does not feature in Auckland.
The top ranked player in the series’ ranking list at the conclusion of the fifth event will be invited to the WPBSA Q Tour Global play-offs, where three World Snooker Tour cards will be on offer.
