Wu and Xiao Make Championship League Maximums

International Champion Wu Yize and back-to-back Wuhan Open winner Xiao Guodong made 147 breaks at the BetVictor Championship League in Leicester. 

Wu fired in the first 147 of his career in a 3-1 win over Oliver Lines, while Xiao crafted a perfect run in a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Lines. It was Xiao’s second of the season, following his 147 at the Wuhan Open.

It’s takes this season’s record haul of maximums to 20, with the previous record of 15 having been achieved last year. There have now been 237 maximum breaks in the history of professional snooker.
