Initially launched last August for clubs based in England, last month registration was opened up to clubs from around the world with sign-up available through the completion of a simple form on our website.
Already, we have been delighted by the fantastic support provided by regional snooker bodies, clubs and individuals alike, with facilities having been added to the map on a daily basis to reach this milestone.
With so many clubs around the world still to be added however, we are keen to continue to grow the map and are currently working to further develop our links with national federations and to provide new time-saving methods through which multiple clubs can be submitted at once.
Jason Ferguson, WPBSA Chairman said: “I have been very excited to follow the rapid development of our WPBSA Club Finder in recent weeks and to be able to engage with so many passionate people and their snooker facilities already at this early stage.
“The popularity and reach of our sport is easy to underestimate, but we are committed to shining a light on the fantastic work being undertaken by our friends from around the world and to showing just how accessible our sport is no matter where you live.
“While this is a notable milestone, we are far from finished yet and if your club has not yet been included, our message is to get involved and please complete our online form to put your pin on the map!”
